MaterialCalc ("we", "our", "the site") operates materialcalc.net. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

Automatically collected

• Usage data — pages visited, time on page, referrer, device type, approximate location (country-level), browser type.
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies. See the Cookie Policy.
• IP addresses — logged for security; not stored long-term in identifiable form.

Submitted by you

• Anything you type into a calculator (dimensions, quantities, prices) is processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit it to our servers.
• Any email you send to info@materialcalc.net.

How we use it

• To operate and improve the calculators.
• To measure aggregated traffic and performance.
• To serve ads via Google AdSense (and, where applicable, other ad networks).
• To respond to email inquiries.

We do not sell personal data.

Third parties

• Google AdSense — for ad delivery and measurement. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
• Google Analytics 4 — for aggregated audience measurement. GA4 uses cookies to measure page views, session duration, and broad audience characteristics. Opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on.
• Cloudflare — our CDN and DNS provider. Processes request logs as part of serving the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion.
• Object to processing or request restriction.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time — via the consent banner where one is shown (it accompanies personalized advertising in regions that require it), or by clearing cookies and using the opt-out links below.

EU/UK (GDPR): legal bases are our legitimate interest in operating the site and your consent for non-essential cookies.

California (CCPA/CPRA): advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, use Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info, or email us. A consent/opt-out banner is shown where advertising personalization requires it.
